LEARNING AGREEMENT
LEARNING AGREEMENT
PREPARE THE STUDY PROGRAMME YOU WILL FOLLOW AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VALLADOLID

Once you have completed your registration and application, the next step is to begin preparing your Learning Agreement, so that it is fully completed before the enrolment process for your mobility semester begins.

You must use the Learning Agreement template available at this link.

Please note that if you need to obtain a visa or stay authorization for studies in Spain, in order to be considered a full-time student your Learning Agreement must include at least 30 ECTS if your stay is for one semester or at least 54 ECTS if it is for a full academic year. You can find more information about this topic in the section Living at the UVa – Immigration procedures in our Welcome Guide.

Once the document has been signed by the academic coordinator responsible for your international mobility at your home university, you may contact the academic coordinator at the UVa for their approval. You will have received their contact details in the email sent to you with the information for completing your international mobility application.

WHICH COURSES YOU CAN CHOOSE?

You can find information about all the courses offered at the UVa on the websites of each faculty or school, or on the main UVa website.

Although Spanish is the language of instruction of most of the courses, the UVa also offers courses taught in English:

International Semester Programmes

Study in English at the UVa

As an international exchange student, you may choose any course taught in the UVa faculty or school to which your mobility is assigned. You may also include courses from other UVa faculties or schools, provided that the academic coordinators responsible for your international mobility in both institutions approve your selection.

If your study programme includes master’s level courses, you must obtain approval from the coordinator of the corresponding master’s degree. Their contact information can be found on the UVa website under each master’s programme.

You may take up to 60 ECTS per academic year or 30 ECTS per semester. The minimum number of credits you must take will be determined by your home university.

You must take into account that the UVa has campuses in the cities of Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia and Soria. Due to the distance between campuses, you may only select courses taught in Valladolid and Palencia campuses simultaneously, provided that both academic coordinators approve it. All other campus combinations are more than 100 km apart.

You must include the full name and the course code for each course you select.

You must also ensure that the courses you choose are taught during the period of your mobility: first semester, second semester, or full year.

TIMETABLES AND GROUPS

You must check that the courses you have chosen have compatible timetables. You can find timetable information for each course on the UVa website. In each study plan, under the “Asignaturas” (Courses) menu, you will find a link to the timetable next to each course. The websites of each faculty or school also include timetable information.

Note that some courses have different groups, each with different timetables. Certain courses have several lecture groups (T) and several subgroups (A, L or S) for different types of activities such as labs or seminars. As an international mobility student, you may choose the lecture groups (T) that best suit your schedule. Subgroups (A, L or S) are created at the beginning of each semester.

RECOGNITION OF OTHER ACTIVITIES

You may also receive academic recognition for participating in cultural, sports, volunteer, and cooperation activities. You can request recognition of these activities so that they appear on your Transcript of Records. More detailed information is available in this link

Spanish language courses offered by the UVa Language Centre with a duration of 40 hours may be recognised with 3 ECTS credits. You may receive recognition for several language courses at different levels during your stay.

To obtain recognition for these activities at your home university, you must check whether they accept this type of academic recognition.
