T4GREEN Project

The T4GREEN Project, under the Erasmus+ KA2, Capacity Building (CBHE) programme STRAND 3, aims to reform teacher education in Armenia and Moldova to enable the shift from traditional to future-oriented curricula and teaching methods in order to achieve national general education goals and support the green and digital transition.

This intervention is justified taking into account the dramatic situation in Armenia and Moldova with the shortage of teachers, the lack of interest towards the teaching career, the transformation of the role of a teacher in modern society and the lack of attractiveness of the school curriculum for pupils in general conditioned by outdated methodology and curricula.

Objectives

As a result of the project implementation: initial teacher education programmes for Bachelor (5), Master (5) and 2 short credit programmes (existing and newly created) for STEM, foreign language, special and inclusive education, as well as general pedagogy courses based on performance standards will be revised in 5 universities in Armenia and Moldova in relation to ecological and digital transition.

Expected outcomes

The capacities of national and institutional administrators, decision-makers, teachers and researchers will be developed to transform teacher education policy and programmes in order to achieve national goals.

The results of the project will have a huge impact on teacher education in Armenia and Moldova, with a ripple effect and a positive impact on society as well as the quality of teaching and learning in schools for future generations.
