For the students coming to Viadrina we are offering a variety of excursions and extracurricular activities to enrichen their experience at the German – Polish border.

Why Viadrina?

The European University Viadrina is well known for its internationality and is among the top-ranked German universities. Its small and very international student body, a reasonable student-teacher ratio, digital teaching experience, and an excellent student support system ensure a very friendly atmosphere and excellent study conditions. The Viadrina is located on the German-Polish border and right on the doorstep of Berlin, which expands the possibilities for academic, cultural, and social student life.

Please contact us regarding any questions or doubts that you might have or if you would like to receive more information. We are looking forward to hosting students!

University of Warwick

We have taken the decision to relocate our Warwick Summer School back to our main University of Warwick campus rather than run the programme from Strawberry Hill, near Twickenham as originally planned. Hosting our Summer School at our own beautiful home campus means we have more control over all the elements of the programme including the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff.

What does this mean for students?

They will live and study at our amazing Warwick campus

Our Summer School will continue to be the same great mix of quality academic teaching from top Warwick faculty in a range of courses to suit all levels (and still able to gain academic credit), a fun and engaging social and cultural programme, top guest speakers and an internationally diverse experience. The difference will be that students will live and study on our large world-class campus with outstanding teaching and learning spaces, a 24-hour library, Arts centre and cinema, brand new sports and wellness hub, restaurants and cafes and many green spaces including lakes, woodland and open fields. Find out more here.

Students will be staying in the Heart of England

Our campus is in the Heart of England, close to the city of Coventry and England’s second city of Birmingham and just an hour’s  train journey away from London. We are perfectly placed for exploring Shakespeare’s birthplace – Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle, the spa town of Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds, home to some of the most picturesque villages and countryside in the UK. Find out more here.

Students will still visit London

We understand that some students might be disappointed not to be staying a little closer to London BUT we are still only one hour away by train AND we will now be including a complimentary overnight stay to London as part of the fee. We’ll provide coach travel, overnight accommodation in en-suite accommodation in central London and tickets for students to experience the London Eye, a hop-on-hop-off bus tour and one other major attraction.

We’ll also be including an additional 1920s themed dinner, casino and disco night at Coombe Abbey. Our trips to Oxford and Harry Potter Studios will also still take place. Find out more about the social and cultural programme here.

Students will live on the Warwick campus

All of our halls of residence are on campus meaning students only need to roll out of bed just before lectures and everything is walking distance. Our accommodation and catering packages offer great value for money and give you the flexibility to choose a package which suits all budgets. Find out more here.

University of Zurich

We are very pleased to announce our UZH International Summer Schools 2021 (virtual edition), which will take place 4 – 23 July 2021. Each program offers 6 ECTS credits and is open to Bachelor and Master students from all subject areas.

We delivered our summer schools online in 2020 due to the global pandemic. The students’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive: 95% of the students were highly satisfied with the organization of our programs and 93% particularly liked the multidisciplinary approach of the summer schools. Building on this invaluable experience and given that there are likely still some travel restrictions in place, we decided to go online again in summer 2021.

We encourage to apply to us directly: Application is now open and will close on 25 April 2021. To apply, students should first complete our registration form. The 5 easy steps of our new application process are listed on our brand new website www.summerschools.uzh.ch
